God, this story's awesome. So...so much emotion.

I remember when Andrew and I conceived the plot for this, it snowballed into something great we didn't expect. We utilized inspiration from both of our personal lives into a cohesive story of pain, regret, and redemption.

The first half of the story leading up to the letter that Andrew's character left for his parents was my contribution to the story. Looking back, I can say that certain things I did was a little overly melodramatic. Haha! But, upon reading "Unholy Beginnings" straight through, both our parts of the story merged well. I was and still am impressed at Andrew's ability as a writer. Sometimes he'll rag on his himself for being a less than stellar action-writer. But truth be told, he does a damn fine job in that regard. The entire story came across like a well-crafted chase movie; heart and suspense abound.

The only thing I'l say about this stoy if/when we go back and review it is the need to pick a name for the main villain.  

Professor Donald Salaway's named gets changed to Mark Beard half-way through. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm sure Andrew can answer that. LOL! The other thing is, and I think either Fritz or Kingpin brought this up, is the need to separate this story in Acts. Otherwise, "Unholy Beginnings" is a near-flawless read.

Though, I do have one question...

"We had been through many things over the years; we worked as a team once I had gotten to the point where I could actually aid him in his fighting. Our exploits had become famous over much of Europe. We had taken on Werewolves, Vampires, and even the occasional Hell spawn, a being that left me with an unusual burn scar."

What scar are you referring to, Andrew?
